I have never done post-production before this uni course, and so I have been learning as I have been going along. The first thing that I have learnt is applying simple luts to footage can really be the difference between a shot that looks average, and a shot that looks like it could be from a hollywood movie. I have been using cyan/orange luts the most, as they are in fashion and give footage a crisp colour scale. As well as colour luts, colour correction can improve footage by thresholds. I have also tested with transitions, and I have found that too many fancy transitions can look terrible and childish. A basic cut transtion is fine for most situations. I haven't delved that deep into the world of post-production, but these were the biggest points that I have learnt.

What have you learnt huh?
