For one of my work experience projects, the task at hand was to create a short promotional video for Exclusive Tattoos in Street. The footage was gathered up by my university colleagues, and my task was to edit it all together. The footage was limited, and I discovered that it is a lot harder to edit footage that isn't yours, as you do not know the order of the clips, whereas if you first hand film footage, you have a pre-production planned out, and you can fit together footage on the fly whilst you are recording it. Having said that, the footage I received was very good quality, and there were a few transitional shots in the mix, which allowed for easier editing. The Tattoo shop themselves just wanted a short promotional video for their website, and I think the product I created fits that description. With my own footage, I believe I could have created a better version.
