For our short 5 minute horror movie, we have decided on a basic script, timeline and location for the movie. Brad's parents own a self storage complex, so we will be shooting there. The basic concept involves a security guard opeing the movie with a dance scene whilst the guard is locking the self storage warehouse down, to lighten the mood and develop a bond with the audience. There would then be a sudden noise after the guard enters his office, and the guard would investigate. The noise would be a drunk man or an elderly woman, depending on casting and after the guard drops his keys, the man/elderly woman would vanish, followed by the door of the warehouse slamming shut even though the guard locked it. The guard would investiage the dark hallways of the warehouse, with tense music and a few jumpscares, followed by getting trapped in a container. The guard escapes whilst scared and escapes to his office where the drunk man/elderly woman reappears, before getting swept away by an unknown force. The camera would swap to the security guard, showing he is scared, then a light turning on behind him, the guard looks behind him, nothing there, looks back to his right and there is a deranged human staring at him. We want the evil creature in this to be human-like but with evil/deranged characteristics.
