Initial studio practice and podcast setup #1- At the end of our first week we were introduced to the studio and we were shown how to set up the lighting and the recording. This was very daunting at first as it was expensive and confusing kit, but after a few run throughs, I have gained a lot of confidence in using different aspects of the studio. As a class we wanted to start off by setting up a podcast in the studio space. This included a 3 camera set up with 1 wide angle shot of the desk, and the other 2 cameras facing the presenter and interviewees respectively. When we were trying to light up the studio we realised how precise the lighting made certain areas of the studio, so it was very good experience understanding the lighting especially in the studio. None of knew the technical side of the studio but we gained a basic understanding on how to start up a production with basic audio, lighting and video capture.
