In this blog post, I will be talking about my Career Action Plan;
First of all, I would like to improve my skills in the video creation industry. I will be doing this by completing the 3 year media course, and getting involved in as many projects as possible. I have already learned a lot about the stages of video creation, videography, adobe products such as premier pro and after effects as well as the dedication needed when creating videos. After 2 more years of uni, more work experience as well as my own projects, I think I will have a good level of skill needed to pursue video creation after university.
Whilst at university, I also want to build up my brand, Ravin' Gavin. I will be attempting this mostly through Youtube, but also Twitch and other social medias, and of course, this website. As soon as lock down has ended I will be hard pursuing YouTube, and creating weekly videos, to try to create a consistent work upload. The videos will range from challenges, skits, possibly music and short films on the Ravin' Gavin main channel, and also gaming videos on Ravin' Gavin Games. Hopefully the dedication to the YouTube channel and other social medias will improve my video making skills, to use in other areas. Youtube and content creation is my main goal to pursue in the future, but I know that it requires time, skill, luck and dedication to pull off, so I will also be pursuing other paths.
Whilst pursuing Youtube and content creation, hopefully my skills in illustration and editing also improve tenfold, so being an editor/illustrator or website creator could be a possible path if all else fails. Another possible path would be a model, of which is very different to the other routes but it has always been something I have looked into, and who knows what the future will hold.
