Final Major Project- Initial Thoughts

The Final Major Project or FMP for short, is the final and largest module in year 2 of this course. It Is worth the same as two modules combined, so It definitely has a huge importance on grade outcomes as well as showcasing skills and techniques. The FMP brief allows students to create anything that they wish, as long as the brief that they come up with allows for the students to create a thorough piece of media that can help showcase all of the learning that has gone into the project, as well as showcase the skills and techniques used within the project.

For this reason, it is highly recommended that we link the brief of the FMP to our possible career path, such as if you want to be a photographer, having a photography minded FMP, to showcase your skills, techniques and learning easier, as it is a subject you already know about, so learning new skills is easier and more fun. Having said this, I am not 100% sure what career I will go into after this course, but I am really hoping it is linked to the field of Youtube or Twitch, or some social media company. So for my FMP, I will be choosing the subject of starting a Youtube channel, creating all of the assets for my brand, other social media websites such as twitch, Instagram and twitter etc. The main component for the project will be creating a variety of videos for my Youtube channel, to showcase a huge variety of skills and techniques. I will be showing the many different skills and techniques through different styles of videos.
